This annotated bibliography was a large undertaking. I used my previous knowledge, plus what I have learned in LIBR 210 to select the resources. The biggest thing I learned from the assignment is how much time and care it takes to select quality resources for a library. I also learned about evaluating print and web resources. The selector needs to look for clues in various places including reviews, the resource’s website, and other places to discover which are the best.
My main selection criteria was that the resources were from authoritative sources and would be useful for helping high school students with their assignments and personal questions. My secondary criteria was that the resources have positive reviews and/or were award winners.
I choose Blogger as the medium for the bibliography as an experiment in presenting information in a different way that is accessible on the web. I found the platform easy to use, but if the user is transferring information from MS Word it is best to past the text into the HTML tab and then use the compose tab to format the text.
